Family Counselling

The goal of family counselling is to help family members solve problems and conflicts together. By developing a greater awareness of children's and adolescent's issues, families can better understand how to navigate their own unique situations. The main goal of our work together is to build communication and create a better functioning home environment. This is achieved through 'talk' therapy where family dynamics are addressed in order to understand the different perspectives of each person involved. We can discuss the context of your family's needs in a complimentary 30 minute consultation.

Mindfulness Counselling

Mindfulness-based counselling combines cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) techniques with meditative and/or mindfulness practices. CBT is a common form of 'talk' therapy which focuses on the relationship between our thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Research shows that mindfulness counselling can successfully reduce anxiety, depression and stress as we develop greater awareness of our body, mind and feelings in the present moment.  Through talk therapy we can explore ways of changing repetitive, negative thought patterns whilst accessing supportive tools such as breath work, meditation, sound, self massage, visualisation and yoga. My goal is for individuals to be able to utilise a range of mindfulness techniques in their daily lives to improve overall mental health and wellbeing. During a complimentary 30 minute consultation, I invite you to share your story so that we can plan the next steps on your journey to healing and inner peace.
